Forever Ago We Met

I basically forgot I had a blog or something. I'm awesome like that. I like snow. I love snow actually. It's some built in feature that I think almost every Canadian has. Unfortunately I don't know if I love the cold as much. I just found these adorable boots from Ispachi a few days ago, and when shopping around for a cute hat for my boyfriend's av I found this adorable hat and hair from Cobrahive. I also just finished exploring The Snowflake Experience as well, I'm wearing socks I bought from the event and using some lovely poses as well.

That and I'm in love with Aikea Rieko from Plastik's new Poet skins and I've waited a bit too long to take prettiful pictures with Digi Pera from PERA's cute plain faun legs and fluffy little tail.

Oh, and Truth's got an awesome new hair out with TWO WHOLE different streaks to change colours with. That brushed off a little sarcastically, didn't it? There were three other hairs out with it but... not so much my style. Pigtails are just a little too princess-y for me.

The Sun in the Clouds

Aikea Rieko of The Plastik sent me over her new make ups she had made for her amazing Lionheart skins. They're a plethora of deliciously rainbow-packed make up sets. I nearly killed over for the Empress make up, which is worn in the picture below. I adore yellow. It is by far my favourite colour. You can find larger images of the skins on my flickr.

As I said. Yellow is my favourite colour. I really need to expand more with wearing more colourful clothing. Sometimes I look just so melancholy. Oddly enough I wanted to go to the Scribble sim to take pictures. I love the new-ish set up.

Luckless - Impish Set

I finally finished my Impish Set. It comes with horns, ears and two tails. (one with a wagging script and one without.) These all come with texture changing scripts with ten different tones and are modifiable for you too tweak to perfection.

They are copy and modify but no transfer. They cost L$250 which I think is a fair price. Slap me if I'm wrong.

I'm proud of these. I think I did fairly well for a total beginner in the sculpting catagory.

Dreadful.

I love synthetic dreads. I've met a lot of people who go "sidufoasinfs they're not dreads ANGRY FACE!" But.... sucks to their assmar. So when I saw these on Sydd Sinister's blog I knew I had to have them. I edited the bangs to look more like the hair is being pulled away from the face as I don't really look all that lovely with betty bangs.

PS Look! I made black lips that don't look like uh... horrible! YAY!! I'm so happy with them! I think the freckles really add a ton of personality to the face. I love freckles. They make me happy and squooshy faced.

Would You Buy from Someone Who Pirated Their Programs?

No real pictures in this post I'm afraid. In SL there is a lot of commotion about copy-botting and in world theft yet I don't see so much about pirated programs (such as Photoshop, Maya, 3D Studio Max, etc.) being used to create "Legitimate" products.

The reason why I'm bringing this up is that yesterday my friend told me that he found out a good friend of his, one that he admires for her skills, her "honesty" and her intense views on content theft and copybotting pirated all of the programs she uses to create and SELL her "legitimate" products. He told me she's very much against such things as copybotting and stolen content and was surprised to see her say that she in fact admittedly pirates all of her programs after discussing his idea of saving up for a new program to further advance his creations with.

Further more my friend is now terribly confused. He has willingly given her a large parcel of land, free of rent or charge and does not know whether to allow her to continue using it or telling her that he'd rather not have someone who uses pirated programs on his sim. Should he allow her to use the land? I think not. She's making profit off of stolen products. In my terribly personal and biased opinion I find that stealing is stealing and I will personally not buy anything from her. Which is a shame as I rather liked her jewelry and clothing. My friend has also made the decision to no longer purchase anything from her or wear her items and he feels that would be promoting theft, something he has been fighting against for some time now whether it be copybotting, copyrighted/trademarked images/logos or products made from stolen programs.

And now I ask you these questions:

Do you think using a pirated program such as Photoshop or Maya to create content (whether for profit or not) is wrong?

Would you purchase from someone who you know is using a pirated program?

I'd really like too know some answers for these questions as I myself feel strongly on this issue.

I'm such a liar. I love these heels. So I decided to get all super girly for the look. These shoes from Fri.day aren't new anymore but I wanted to demo them because well.. They're super hot. Then I bought them. Then wore them. Now I'm not going to take them off for a while.

So how come no one mentioned that the headband on this hair was studded in like.. size 200 font bolded and in red with it saying: "Luc, this hair has a studded headband. It's got you written all over it sunshine."

I normally don't like every single style released by Truth in a week. This is late yes I know but damn. I can't believe I actually bought all the releases. It's not that I don't think the styles are cute usually it's just that they're either too girly for me or too straight. The Annette is my favourite for this week but the Emme and Tesa are pretty much tied with it.

Mom Hair

I just took these pictures at home. I get to live in a castle. \o/ I have the bottom bunk, Gabi gets the top. That sounds gay. I liked it. I also love my mom hair. Don't tell me that this hair doesn't look like some over glamourized mom hair-do. I altered my shape just for those idiotic hair-reducing lips I just can't seem to properly make. It makes me want to just take a picture of my own lips and paste them on the skin. Blah. I'm talking a lot.
